Welcome to Geominster

the story so far

My first venture ever into Model Railways was in 2011 with a OO Gauge Hornby Set.

*

I started building Geominster N Gauge in March 2012 following a year with OO Gauge for my model railway.

*

Unfortunately OO Gauge took a lot of room and was restricting what I could build in the space available so after visiting Basingstoke Railway Show in March 2012 and buying a sample piece of track and a wagon to experiment with I decided N Gauge would be far more suitable for me.

*

I sold all my OO stock and re-invested in N Gauge track.

*

I am indebted to the helpful folk at the N Gauge Forum .co.uk for all the help

advice support and humour which has encouraged me to progress this far.

*

Thanks also to Brian Lambert for his advice on all things

electrical and in particular DCC advice and Reverse Loops.
